My husband and I met in college, at a party where I had entered & won a hoola hoop contest. I guess he "liked my moves" and he yelled out, "I'm going to marry that woman!" ... we had never met before... I said, "In your dreams!!" ..Well, his dreams came true!! In March we will be married 25 years. We have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. ...and I can STILL swing a mean hoola hoop!!

My hubby and I started out as mutual friends. But after hanging out and exchanging phone number, there was sparks. We kept it hidden for like 2 months and finally all of our friends found out we were dating. I had just gotten out of a bad long term relationship, and didnt want to rush things..Lol that didnt happen. We lived with each other after 3 months and were married sfter 10 months. Now we are expecting child number #2 (between us, #4 for me) and in May we will be married for 2 years. He is my best friend, my lover, the best father, and a great step-father.

My fiancé and I met about a year and half ago on July 13th, 2011. He proposed to me on our one year anniversary, July 13th, 2012 and we're getting married exactly one year later on July 13th, 2013 (less than 6 more months! I can't wait!!!) He is the most amazing man I know, he is more kind than I sometimes deserve, but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. This gift package would be so amazing to win! We are both full time students who are paying for our own wedding and since the wedding is fast approaching, it means that Valentine's Day is going to have to take the back burner this year since we have too many wedding costs coming out of our budget. *fingers crossed*

My hubby and I met in our singles group at church. He said he used to say hi to me every Sunday and I didn't remember!:) He was my go to for fixing my broken down car and needless to say I didn't mind when it broke down because then I got to see him! ;) He would come scoop my garage entry when it snowed. My wife and I had some common friends that encouraged us to meet. I took her to a movie for our first date...it was a documentary about Tammy Faye Baker. We didn't have another date for over a year, but I knew from the time I met her that she was special, and she eventually gave me a second chance. We'll celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary this year.

We met while playing a pick up sand volleyball game after our scheduled games had ended. My friend ended up on his team & she kept making comments to him & trying to smack his booty. In between sets he asked me if I had a boyfriend b/c that girl was annoying him (he didn't realize she was my friend). Later on that night he asked me to the first Husker game of the season & I ended up turning him down because I had a hair appt - we both laugh about this now. We did make plans to go to dinner though and have been together ever since!

My sweetheart and I first met in the 2000/2001 school year at UNO. I was dating someone at the time, so no interest on my side (he apparently had the biggest crush on me, but never said anything). I was his martial arts instructor at our Tae Kwon Do club. After that year we parted ways due to differing personal reasons. 10 years later I was spending time at a country bar with some friends, enjoying watching the dancing and chatting. I saw a very handsome man by himself just watching the crowd (I am single at this point and had seen him there a few times). Finally I get a look straight into his eyes and there it was...I think I know this guy (even if not, there was a definite pull there)! I have always been way too shy to approach someone, but I mustered up the courage to not only talk to him, but interrupt his conversation with a friend. After 20 minutes we figured out how we knew each other, spent the rest of the evening together before going our separate ways, and have been together ever since. We have been together for 3 years now and never happier. We could definitely use some pampering as we both have busy and different schedules (his changes day to day and week to week) making it hard to have couples time. I love him with all of my heart and to be able to share this with him would be HUGE. :-)

My husband and I met in 8th grade Spanish class...he sat behind me and would always kick the back of my chair. ..but it got me to notice him! We became best friends, then eventually boyfriend and girlfriend. So happy he was my date to every school dance, we graduated high school and eventually college together. He proposed on our 8 year anniversary in Okoboji, and two years later we were married in the exact same spot, overlooking the lake! We are celebrating five years this summer, and I couldn't imagine my life with anyone else!

My husband and I met over the internet site Dateomaha.com We had our first date at Kona grill. It was love at first sight. I didn't believe in that kind of thing before I met him. We were originally going to go to a movie but didn't want to stop talking and learning about each other. So we went for a walk instead around Village Pointe. We had a magical first date and the rest is history.

My fiancé and I met in high school. He asked me out on valentines day with a heart shaped pepperoni pizza and a beautiful card and flowers and chocolates :) we will be celebrating our 8 year anniversary on 2/14/2013 :) last year on valentines day my fiancée purposed to me before we went out to dinner. Every woman has the moment they will be purposed to all played out in their head, and this was very different to what I had pictured. He called me down the stairs and got down on one knee and showed me his phone, and said will you marry me? I looked closely on his phone and it was a picture of a beautiful ring. I started crying and said yes. He got back up and apologized he didn't have the ring to personally give to me, but it was getting sized. So he gave me a little black bag and inside a beautifully decorated box was a pair of diamond earrings. We have two beautiful kids and don't get to go out much, and this prize would be amazing!! :)

My husband and I met in college when he was getting a master's degree and I was working on my bachelor's degree. At first we did not like each other much. He thought I was too intense. I thought he was nothing but a clown. Over time we got to know each other better and realized there was more to one another than we thought. So we became freinds. Our friendship grew and we decided to date each other. Now, 25 years later (21 years married), we are glad we got to know one another better. Not only are we in love with each other, but we are also best friends.

My husband and I met in college at UNO in Spring 2007. It was an Intro to Human Geography class, which was an elective for me being a Business major, but a requirement for him being a Geography Major. It was one of those situations where I would get to class early and find my spot, the same spot I would sit in each class, and he would sit right next to me, not a chair over, but right next to me every class. I thought it was kind of weird, but at least he was cute, and we both were dating other people at the time so I didn't really think much of it. We became Facebook friends and out of the blue he asked for my number on Facebook (haha) and invited me to this party and his place. I ended up going to the party dragging my Best Friend along (who doesn't remember going lol), but we didn't stay long and ended up not talking for a couple years. Then in the Spring/Summer of 2010 he sent me a text and we honestly haven't stopped talking to each other since. We got married on August 25, 2012. I feel like it's one of those what's meant to be will always find a way type of thing and I wouldn't change a thing!

My husband and I met several years we started dating - in fact, I thought he wasn't a very nice person. Then we were forced to spend time together due to a project at work - Funny how things change when you really get to know someone. We have been married twelve years. Just last week I showed him the box of cards, letters, poems, etc that he has sent me over the years. We re-read the 'early' ones - oh, we laughed, shed some tears and thanked God for our marriage.

I met my husband when we were 12 years old, best friends by age 15, dating at age 19, and married at age 20. We have been married over 22 years and are having a great time raising our 4 year old twin boys. We don't have a lot of money or time for romance these days, but we try to keep the love alive through the little things. I can't think of anything better than raising two beautiful boys with my best friend.

My husband took a job in New York while we were still just friends. We talked every day after he moved. About two weeks in I told him that I was going to move to Texas. That night he called my mom's house and poured his heart out to my sister, who he thought was my mom. He begged her to make me stay until he got back. He packed everything he owned and drove back to Nebraska. He showed up and told me that he couldn't be without me and that I was everything he wanted. It was the first I love you's we said and we were married not too long after. We started as best friends and we can't imagine life apart.

February 4 2:19 PM
Our modern love story started when we met through a mutual friend at a happy hour at Village Pointe. We didn't hit it off right away as I wasn't looking for a relationship at the time. We started a game of Words with Friends that night. We continued to chat through the "talk" function on the app for the next several weeks. During that time, I kept thinking about him and eventually realized that his ability to beat me at the game meant he was smart (which is very attractive!) After a few weeks, he gave me his number, asked for mine, and suggested we go grab a drink again at the place we initially met. That was 1.5 years ago and I can't wait to see what our future holds. We love going up to Village Pointe to shop, go to movies and eat out/have drinks. Hope we win this as it would allow us to pamper ourselves!

My husband and I met during a very difficult time in my life. He helped me to rebuild my life, but this time with a partner that would never leave my side. We had both gone out on a NYE not even wanting to meet someone...after one of my friends dragged him onto the dance floor and then ditched him, I felt bad for him so I started dancing with him. By the end of the night he asked for my number - and I gave him a wrong number. I later decided that maybe I could give him a chance...so I called him and left a message saying I had a great time the previous night. He called me back completely confused as to why he had a different number listed for me. I didn't tell him until much later why :) We were married six years later and will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary this year!

My husband and I met 5 years ago at a mutal friend's summer block party. I was dragging my feet about going but I'm so glad that I did. (I didn't even straighten my hair like I normally did before I went out.) In a room full of strangers I saw this handsomely tall, dark haired guy talking to my sister. I was so excited for an "excuse" to talk to him. Turns out that he worked with my sister and knew her pretty well. After talking to him I was hooked! His goofy down-to-earth personality won me over. I asked my sister about him and all she could say is that he is "weird". Not really understanding what she ment by that I soon got to know him and his goofy sense of humor. We are completely and insanely in love. We are best friends...and our love story continues and gets better and better each day. This romance package would be the perfect way to spend Valentine's together.

In the fall of 2011, I started my first year of college. I knew no one at this school and was on my own. I turned my housing application in late so I was put on the waiting list for a dorm room. School had already started and I was taking education class to become an elementary school teacher. The second day of one of my classes, our professor decided we all needed to get to know each other. We were divided up by a number 1 or 2. Group 1 stood in a circle outside the number 2 group. Each group rotated and were asking each other different questions the professor had provided us. There was this cute guy who i spotted when i was looking around the class. He ended up being my partner for a question and I was so nervous I couldn't look at him. I was looking everywhere else except for at him. I could tell out of the corner of my eye he was keeping great eye contact and not giving up. We had to tell each other our favorite quote. Two weeks had passed and I finally got a dorm room, he had been talking over facebook and text ever since that second day of class. When he found out I got a room he offered to help my dad and I move my stuff in, but I was to shy to introduce him to my parents so soon! To sum things up once I moved in he and I have been inseparable, and he has got to know my family very well. I have fallen in love with guy and couldn't be happier. He finally admitted to me one day that he had changed numbers that day of class to make sure he was going to talk to me! We will be moving to Vermillion, SD to continue our schooling at the University of South Dakota in the Fall of 2013. I will never forget his quote that day of class, "You must to learn to follow, before you can lead."

I met my fiance during my junior year at college. I met him the very minute I had stopped looking for him (isn't that how it always seems to go?) As cheesy as it sounds he was a blessing...exactly what I needed at exactly the moment I needed him! He was a breath of fresh air and he quickly became a close friend. He was one of my best friends before any romance was involved and I think that has a lot to do with the lovely way in which our relationship has grown over the years. We spent two years together at college...most of my time was spent helping with papers (writing them for him), helping him do laundry (doing it for him) and updating his wardrobe (someone had to tell him to stop wearing jean shorts). Granted he did spend a lot of his time driving me to class, shoveling my car out of the snow, nursing my hangovers and killing any spider that dared to cross my path. Even after graduating and taking on the "real world", which has turned out to be not quite as fun we adore each other and our less than 4 months away from the BIG day! :)

I met my husband through a girlfriend of mine and he was a friend of her boyfriend. My girlfriend and I both do hair and she told me when her boyfriend's friend came in to get his hair cut I should check him out because he was my type. Boy was he! I was instantly attracted to him and his sky blue eyes. While he got his hair cut we talked the entire time about husker football which we both love. We decided we would do a group date at Septemberfest where we shared our first kiss and he even called me the next day. I knew he was a keeper after that! We just celebrated out 7 year anniversary and our only child was just born in July . I am one blessed woman!

What a wonderful gift for whoever may get it. I met my husband by accident..he was doing some freelance work for my parents. I was starting fresh with a new job, no boyfriend, and two babies. He asked me out for his birthday to a movie and McDonalds. He fell in love with my two toddlers and spent alot of time with them. He asked me to marry him a few months later. We always joke with people I married him for his credit and he married me for my kids....we have been together since 1999. We havent had many date nights since then and are sure due for one.

I met my husband when he was stationed with the Air Force in South Carolina. It's amazing how many times our paths had crossed during our lives yet didn't meet until we were in our late 20's. Our dads had both been in the Navy and stationed together when we were little kids and we lived less than a mile from each other. After we both graduated high school, we ended up both moving back to the same area and being involved in the same activities, yet never met up. It was after we had both had been married and divorced did we finally meet. We have now been married for @ 5 years and he is still my best friend and the best daddy/step-daddy there is!

My husband and I new each other in high school and were just acquaints , i was best friends with his cousin and he was best friends with my cousin Joey. Well high school ended and 6 years past. My group of girl friends decided to go out with my cousin Joey and his friends. My husband happen to be one of them. I told all my girl friends that night i would date him, he was so much more handsome after high school but a bit of a ladies man. Parties went on and we saw each other at bars and became friends. Sure enough we partied at his house after a bar one night and i think he was hooked ever since. This lady won. He pretend he needed a haircut since i am a hair dresser but really he just wanted to take me on a date. A year later we were engaged than married , another year later we had identical twin boys. Life couldn't be any better. Who knew the love of my life was right in front of me since i was a freshman in high school. Fate stepped in and made it happen. We are so blessed.

We meet 14 years ago, when he walked in my work for a haircut. I was too nervous to cut his hair. Several years later, he walked in a different salon and still I was nervous, but I did it! 3 years ago I got divorced and started dating and talking to guys. This guy from years earlier messaged me on facebook, we started talking and have been dating almost a year now. :)

My boyfriend and I met at a funeral. LOL. We are both divorced and I finally was ready to start dating. I never thought I would meet the man of my dreams at a funeral. But we started talking, went out that night and he was hooked. A day hasnt gone by that we have not spoke to each other. Believe it or not but 16 months later I am now considering marriage. This prize would make a great evening for a proposal.

We knew each other all through grade school. We started dating in 1968-69 when I was a Freshman and he was a Sophomore in high school. He told me he loved me for the first time on December 22, 1969...and we have been telling each other that ever since. We married in May 1973, and this year we will celebrate 40 years since we said "I Do!" And I would do it all over again. I am still so in love with my guy!

My husband and I were great friends in college but near of us had the guts to chance the friendship and ask the other one out. Four years later, we finally realized that we were meant to be (even though we were living 1800 miles apart). After making it through 18 months of a long distance relationship, we ended up moving together to Omaha and shortly after that got married. We still are the best of friends!

Valentine's Day and/or week is very special to us. My husband and I spend one night at Mahoney Park for the Valentine Special every year. This will be our 13th year. Then we spend the next day in Omaha. This is our one day that we spend with each other with no distractions from work, phone calls or chores around the house. We also centered our wedding around the Jim Brickman song Valentine. Using the words inside our invitations etc.

My wife and I met while working at the local telephone company, Northwestern Bell at the time. She worked in the yellow page directory office and I worked in the white page directory office. We dated for about a year and where joined together in marriage bringing yellow pages and white pages as one. (Showing the telephone company that the directory can become one book containing yellow and white pages). We have been married now for 36 years and counting.

I KNEW I was in love with my now husband when we were dating in college. We were on a walk at a nearby park on a very cool November evening. We came across a duck that was stuck in some netting in the pond. I was very worried about it and my husband rolled up his pant legs and wadded out into the water to free the duck. The water was freezing but he didn't want to let me down and wanted to be a hero for me. One adopted son, two biological sons and 17 years later, I couldn't love him more!

My mother introduced us. My boyfriend's hair turned gray very early. He began having his hair dyed in his late 20s at the local beauty shop. One day, while getting her hair done, my mother struck up a conversation with him. They chatted and he left. My mom called me and told me she had "found me a man" and that I should talk to him. Months later, I finally agreed to let my mom give him my number. Turns out my mom missed her calling as a matchmaker! (She LOVES telling people this story!)

This year was a very special year. You see, my husband literally saved my life. I went into the emergency with a sudden, severe medical condition. They had to do exploratory surgery and put me in a drug-induced coma. The medication they used to keep me in a coma was not working for me. When the surgeon came out and told my husband to start thinking about my funeral arrangements, he didn't give up on me. He questionned and pushed the surgeon for alternatives. I came out of my coma 2 weeks later and am still here! My hubby has done everything for me in my recouperation. He's my best friend and we've been married for 20 years. He is truly the love of my life.

I met my husband on match.com in June of 2010. We chatted online for a week or two, then decided to meet in person. It went so well, we talked until 3:30am!! We've both been divorced and have kiddos, so there was a lot to talk through and work out to make sure that we really could make it, as we both had told ourselves that the next time we get married, it is the LAST time :) He proposed on January 1st of 2011, and we were married on 04/01/11...because we both have a sense of humor. He's truly the love of my life, and I'm so happy God brought him to me and I have him to make me happy <3

My fiancé and I met when we were in 8 th grade. My freshman year of high school we started dating. We are a year apart in school and both decided on different colleges. My fiancé proposed on New Year's Eve 2011. It was a complete surprise and very romantic. In May 2011 he graduated from college and in August he moved to Omaha. We now live in Omaha together and will be celebrating our first of many Valentine's days together has an engaged couple. Going towards 20 years, I love how our marriage grows and wanes, and grows some more, because my husband is relentlessly committed to us, making sure we get time together wtihout our children and being a man of his word. We choose to live on 1 income, so I can be home with our children, so there aren't alot of "frills", but I'm grateful for the things we share that money can't buy...but I do like the things that money can buy, too.?? I hope the person/people that this would be the greatest blessing to will enjoy it greatly!

My husband and I met over 30 years ago when we both worked at McDonald's on UK's campus. I was a breakfast manager and he worked on the night crew shift. I lived with three other girls who worked with Mark, my husband at McDonalds. One night they decided to send me into the store to see which of them he might like to go out with. ( I was dating a boy long distance who lived in Illinois at the time.) One thing led to another and he ended up asking me out, as friends since my boyfriend was not there, for lunch on Valentines Day. I broke up with my long distance boyfriend a week later. We married 6 months after that and had 3 beautiful daughters who are now all grown. True love can be found at McDonalds!

I was playing hard to get but he was so persistent! We met at a local sporting event that we both had season tickets to with a group of friends. He tried to get me number one night and I not so kindly told him no. But after many attempts and coincidental moments, we went on our first date (and my first motorcycle ride). He had me hooked after that first date! That was 2 wonderful kids, our first house and almost 7 years ago! We have grown to love each other and managed to take that family vacation last year. He works so hard for our family and could not imagine a better father, friend and husband in my life!

The first time I met my husband i introduced myself, (it was loud in the establishment)...."hi I'm Mel", he said "Bell that's a beautiful name. You must be the Bell of the ball." I didn't have the heart for the first few weeks of talking to him to tell him that was not my name. So you could say he had me from hello...

My love story is about my son who I placed in the arms of a loving couple, so that they could have a family and so that he could have a dad. My husband is my soul mate. It took the powers of love to make sure our paths crossed three times before making the connection. Our love is timeless, we laugh, love and share in each others joy daily. I cant imagine a day without him. Twenty three years later, 3 daughters and just recently a beautiful grand daughter, life just couldnt get sweeter. Its an amazing love story that we get to live everyday so why not celebrate it! What a terrific contest!

I met my husband in college, survived a long distance relationship of 2.5 years, and after dating for 5 years I got to marry the love of my life! Almost 3 years later we are now expecting our first child in July and I would love to surprise my husband with this gift because he has been the person who lifts me up, dries my tears and stands beside me through good and bad! I love him and can't imagine my life without him. Not to mention because of my student loan payments we can't "splurge" on extras and I know he wishes he could take me out for a fancy night on the town and this would be a blessing to win!

My husband and I met while working at the telephone company. He worked in white pages and I worked in yellow pages and the two became one! We were married in 1976 and soon were blessed with a daughter. When she was a senior we were blessed with another daughter! We've had a bit of unfortunate circumstances in our lives which led to us losing our home. My husband works 2 jobs now to maintain a roof over our heads. He leaves around 7 in the morning and doesn't get home until 9:30 each night. We only see each other on the weekends so entertainment at Village Point would be an awesome gift for my hard-working husband!

"I'm going to meet my husband tonight." Yep, I called it. Seven years ago, a group of girls and I were getting glammed up for a big night out, but the snowy weather made us play it casual instead. As we switched from boots to sneakers, I said, "I am going to meet my husband tonight." Ha, ha. I walked into my the party, wearing my sneakers and hoodie. Right away my now-husband introduced himself as "Noah, like Noah's Arc". The cheesy pick-up line got me. Together for 7 years, married for a year and a half. Love and fate have the strangest way of finding you.

In the 7th grade I was at one of my best friends houses. I was signed on to my aim because I was not allowed to have one so I couldnt get on it at my house. We were just talking and messing around when all of a sudden I got a chat from a guy I had gone to Elementary school with. He said he was with his friend, John, who's dad raced stock cars and they were going to the races that night. My uncle also raced and I was so in love with the sport I never missed a week. We figured out that they actually raced in the same class and we planned on meeting up later that night. Neither of us had phones and I was too scared to go up to him so this didnt end up happening. Over the next couple years we stayed in contact over Myspace and email. I fell so in love with him, but he was that teenage boy chasing girls. Finally, when John started racing we became even closer. We started hanging out every single day. I went to the races with him and designed things for his racecar. Everyone kept telling me we needed to date but I never thought that would happen because we had been friends for too long. Then a little over a year and a half ago he called me really early in the morning and told me to come outside. That is when I saw him driving down my street with "will you be my girlfriend?" Written on his windshield. I was so shocked, I had waited 6 years for this and know I didnt know what to do with myself! John has been the love of my life since that very first conversation I ever had with him. I look foward to spending many more years with my best friend!

My husband and I are high school sweethearts. My best friend during high school had an older brother, and I met him at her sweet 16 birthday party. It was a party at a cabin, and we spent the entire night getting to know each other and talking. From there we dated all through high school and college. He surprised me and took me to the cabin where we met, and proposed to me there. We have been together ever since! Two kids later, and this contest going on, we would love a date night!

My wife and I met online through a social friend finding site before all these dating sites became common place. I never planned on meeting people to date there. However I am glad I built a profile and was honest about my likes, interests, etc. because that is how I met my wife. You took all these tests that helped develop a personality profile and then would compare you to celebrities and famous people as well as other members showing a compatibility score as well as all kinds of other data about yourself. We must have been honest because our compatibility score was in the high 90's and it definitely proved true. We spent months chatting online between emails then talking on the phone late in the evenings (we both worked at night back then so we would call each other after work before bed) before we ever met in person. Finally we arranged to meet. We met January 30th late at night after we got off work. We met at the Green Onion cocktail bar. It was very exciting and nerve wracking waiting for work to end and to finally meet. I always tell my wife how jealous I was she had a head start on me, you see, I shared my pic on the site where as she didn't have one. So she knew who she was looking for where I didn't. The thought had crossed my mind to be late so she couldn't arrive after me, see me in person then bolt. But then I thought it wouldn't be good manners and whatnot to show up late. So I showed up early and sat near the entrance door so she could see me after she entered and couldn't just bail so easily. See, nerve racking! I'm overjoyed to say that the way we hit it off online was not a fluke and our meeting in person only seemed to draw us instantly close. Well my wife might tell it differently as I played it cool to the point where she thought I wasn't interested in her from a relationship standpoint. She later learned I was just more respectful and gentlemanly then what she had been used to, right honey? ;-) In the years since that night, she has become not only my wife but my valued partner, cherished confidant, trusted teammate, adored lover and best friend. We have had our trials, tribulations, compromises and challenges but I feel we are closer and that I am stronger as a part of a couple and as an individual because of it. I am happy she contacted me those years ago and I hope we have many more years to build upon our love. I Love you Tammi.

I met my wife in the apartment building I moved into in 2001. She was my downstairs neighbor. After a party I hosted in my apartment, to which I invited her, she was staying after to help me clean up and she made the first move. I was pleasantly surprised and we were inseparable after that. We moved into the same apartment a few months later and then into a house together. We married in 2004 and we are as in love today as we were on day one. I owe all the happiness I feel and everything I have to her love and acceptance of me as I am.

I met my husband working at a local hospital. He came in for a MRI. I was checking him in (out)lol and neither one of us realized he was there a day early. So the next day when he came back to check in he came to my cubicle (lucky me)! While checking him in and entering his info he said it was almost his birthday and could I take him out for it. It was almost my birthday as well and he said if not can I take you out for yours. Love at first sight for sure! Been together 15 yrs.

We were actually introduced by friends. We went to high school together but never spoke. We were two years apart in school and we both knew "of" each other but never once talked. The summer after I graduated one of my best friends told be that this guy liked me and wanted to hangout sometime. (He just happened to be one of her boyfriends best friends.) I thought it was a little strange that he "liked me" and I had never once even spoke to him but I decided to give it a go. When I first hung out with him I had less than a month left in my home town before leaving to move four hours away for college. After the first time we hung out I thought he was a cool guy but I just thought I would hang out with him until I left for college and probably move on. Little did I know we would have a long-distance relationship my entire time in College. We are still together today four years later. The funny thing about the story is that the friend that told me how he "liked me" and wanted to hang out; well she told him I "liked him" and wanted to hang out with him. It was a total set up but I thank my lucky stars everyday I ended up with such an amazing man. Love you Michael Lee!

My husband and I worked together for 3 years and we both liked each other very much but he was in a relationship so I had to wait for that to be over. When it was over we had finally started talking outside of work and we decided to hang out together on New Years and for me this was huge because I had very bad anxiety and just the thought of it made me have a panic attack. We hung out that night and we had the best time. Three days later he asked me to be his girlfriend mind you this was the first guy I have ever dated at 23 years old. I accepted and we dated for 6 months and he proposed the day before Easter and on July 19th we got married! We knew right away that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We both do not believe in divorce so this is our one shot and one only. We had fallen madly in love with each other. We talked with each other and we decided we wanted to start a family right away. After a year of trying we finally found out we were pregnant on valentines day of 2012! It was the happiest day for us now valentines day 2013 we have a beautiful baby boy that is 4 months old and we are still madly in love with each other! So valentines day is very special for us!! I just hope I win I would love to do sometime so nice for him since it is a great day for our family!! Thank you!

My girlfriend and I met back in May of 2012 and we hit the ground running! She moved in with me within about a week and things have been so awesome! She is now 18 weeks pregnant and we are super excited about it! This girl is a God send and she keeps me with my feet on the ground and head in success and there has been nothing but excellence and progress thus far in our lives. As with many, we are making sacrifices to make things work and haven't had a lot to work with financially so a night out like this would be so great to be able to take advantage of! Please consider us for this chance for a great time as it would be very appreciated and much deserved! Thank you for your consideration of us in this generous opportunity. Kind Regards, A. J. Guida

I apologize for the duplicate entry however I just wanted to say, had I not flew out to the west coast, not knowing if he would be at the airport to pick me up or not, with no money for a return flight and knowing absolutely no one in California we would not be married today. I took a big leap of faith to find out if we were meant to be. Our story is long and interesting. Perhaps there will be a time and place to share the entire story someday.

An early celebration now and one in September sounds good to me!!

My hubby and I met in an unconventional way, but we both had the same high value on faith and family. Slowly, (not by my strength) we visited, dated, or rather 'courted'. And eventually we hot engaged and learned more and more. We married and made a family of 3 children into a family with 5 children!! Faith and family are still #1 and we are dtill loving even through many ups and downs!!

My wife and I met on Valentine’s Day 10 ten years ago. It was a blind date I will never forget. Since then I’ve always been a hopeless romantic with her. Today, we’ve been married almost 10 years and have a beautiful 6yrl boy. I always try to surprise her anyway I can. From the way I proposed to her on a surprise trip to Puerto Rico. When I took her to the beach for the first time, then to a dinner at a fancy restaurant and ended up with a walk on the beach under a fool moon, perfect to pop the question. Also, our first Valentine’s Day as Husband and Wife when I was TDY to Washington D.C and I flew her in. I had to work, but I made sure that when she woke up she had a basket full of sweetheart candies (her favorite) and an envelope with directions and cab fare to a full treatment at a day spa. Then later that evening, when I got off work, we went on a dinner cruise on the Potomac River. As, recent as last Tuesday, she had a bad day at work, so I bought her a bouquet of roses and a bottle of wine, I had it ready in the kitchen for when she came in from work. I even had the song “Because you had a Bad Day” playing in the background. I’m in the Air Force and since I’m not always around I try to make the very best of our time together.

He is my best friend! After a little over a year of marriage my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Our lives changed forever. He went through chemotherapy and surgery. 3 months afterward we were told he was "cured". Two weeks ago we were told his cancer is back and now have to face radiation. I have never experienced love like I have for him! He treats me so wonderfully I would love to do something special for just him.

I met my husband 16 years ago, but it was mainly destiny that put us together. We saw each other in 1995, but that was it. The following year I was walking down the street and this young guy pulled over and offered me a ride. I ignored his pleas and he drove away. Now in 1997 we saw each other again 2 blocks aways from my home. Now at this point I decided to step up the plate and ask him out. We then met and during our discussion i mention the previous encounters and he was amazed at the details. So 16 years later 2 kids and a 3rd one due in the next 4 weeks. We have gone through ups and downs, but that's how love works. LOVE makes us do crazy things <3

My husband and I actually had our very first date at Village Pointe! About 7 and a half years ago, we ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise, watched "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" at the movie theatre, and walked around the shops. I didn't like my husband when we first met! A friend of his was dating my best friend and was a real jerk, so it was guilt by association. The night before he was leaving to move to Nevada we both realized how much we had in common and I learned that I was very wrong about him. We talked a few times over the next few years but pretty much lost touch. When he moved back to Omaha he found me and asked me out! We will celebrate our tenth anniversary in August, and I would love to win this.

My Husband and I met 15 years ago at Wayne State College. He made me laugh so hard I cried the first time I saw him. He was cowboy from top to bottom and his best friend at the time was from India. The first time I saw him his friend was giving him a piggy back ride, cowboy on the back of an Indian:). Lol! We dated for a very short time, I was 18 he was 19 and it was love from the start. We just celebrated our 14 year wedding anniversary. After 14 years we have 5 little boys together and are still best friends. These past 2 years have challenged our marriage significantly, but through it all we are still going strong. My husband almost lost his life in a motorcycle accident, after almost a year of struggles he recently lost his leg due to that accident. I spent every night in the hospital by his side with very few breaks, my husband and boys are my life and I wouldn't want to trade that for anything in this entire world. I was 19 when I got married and plan on being 100 when we are no longer together on earth. He is my everything, my best friend, my partner in crime and MY SOULMATE! I AM the luckiest girl on earth and would love to win this opportunity to "get away" for a night with my Valentine! No kids:). Pure miracle!

We have been married over 31 wonderful years. He is my best friend and soul mate. We met in college at a party of mutual friends. He and his 2 brothers had a pact that the first one to spot a girl they were interested in, then the other 2 would back off. (Luckily I am not married to one of my brothers-in-law.) He asked me to dance and later I gave him my number. He wrote it on a bank deposit slip. When he went to call me the next week, he realized that had used the deposit slip and had to go to the bank to ask for it back. Everyone at the bank had quite a chuckle when they realized why he wanted the deposit slip. The teller asked if he needed the name or number. Unfortunately, he said both.

I am married to my first love! She is an incredible, giving wife and mother. She always puts others needs before herself. It would be a fantastic blessing to spoil her with this surprise! This is something she would never do, or allow me to do for her out of our budget. I would love for her to feel the way she always makes me feel and I'm sure this prize would do the trick! I'll be saying a prayer with fingers crossed. :D

My husband now and I met while working at Hyvee.I worked days and he worked nights. He would come through my line at the end of my shift and buy some things for his breaks. He was not aware that I was married and had a small child. I moved to Kansas City .He found out that I had moved and what my situation was and he told his friend that he had finally found the love of his life but she was married. Two years later I moved back due to going through a divorce.I started back at Hyvee to support myself and my daughter. To my surprise ,he was still working at Hyvee. We talked one night,he asked me out on a date and here we are 26 years of marriage later. Some things are meant to be!!

When my wife and I met, it was like a love song. Two strangers locking eyes across a crowded room (at the Ranch Bowl). We were both in other relationships at the time. A whirlwind romance full of night-long phone calls and desperate confessions of love. We've been happily married seven years now, and imagining a life without her is painful. She and my daughters are my world.

My boyfriend and I met on my 17th birthday when his friends decided to bring him along to meet me. It was that flirty "I don't know what to say to him" kind of night. We started talking and he asked me out on a few dates. (Our first date was a high school basketball game hehe). 3 weeks later he asked me to be his girlfriend, and here we are 3 years later! Both of us are 20 and in college and both work at Village pointe too! He is at Finish Line and I am at Charming Charlie :)

I was not looking for love.Successful career, wonderful family and friends. I was okay with being single. A good friend of my brother in law was newly single so as we would get together with friends to do things. My sister invited me and my brother in law would invite his friend. We attended all kinds of activities as a group and always had a good time. One night we went out to celebrate a birthday and I was always the designated driver however, this night there was a plan to get me to let my hair down and of course that plan worked. Someone else in the group became the designated driver and that person was my brother in law's friend. He took everyone home and me included, he came in to my home and we spent the entire night talking, had breakfast in the morning and I took him to his vehicle. He called a couple of days later and we began dating secretly. About a month after seeing one another we had a group date planned with our friends and we walked in together hand in hand and our friends were amazed...they asked what took you two so long....they had been trying for almost 2 years to get us to date unknown to us the "slow learners" I guess. We have been together for 8 years and it has been so great to be with someone who really loves and cares for me each and every day!

My room mate was going to a party and I didn't want to go at all. She begged me to go - and I only conceded because it was her birthday. I met my husband at that party. The next day he told my room mate " I love that girl...I'm going to marry her". 20 years later.....we are still together, married for 13 years with 2 boys. He proposed over the Atlantic Ocean - typical...the announcement was made over the intercom of the plane and I didn't even hear it - he nudged me to listen and there it was...the plane erupted in applause and we were treated like royalty on that flight by everyone. He's such a romantic;)

I met my husband at a dive bar in Chicago. I had just moved there and he had been living there for 4 years already. I was 22 and he was 33, but we didn't discuss our ages until the 3rd date. By that time I liked him too much to care about the age difference. Over the next few months he helped me find my way around Chicago and we fell in love.

Knowing when to say sorry, and always remembering you are in this together has kept us together for 8 years and gotten us through 5 year old twins! As a team, we can do anything! I would love the opportunity to have a wonderful valentine's day with my family, as they are my true love, for getting through the thick and thin. (The massage will be for my husband and me, though!)

We were high school sweethearts. He was the annoying guy at the lunch table, although in hindsight, he was just trying to get my attention. Eventually, he thought to ask me out, and our first date was Mayfest, a local art/music/street festival, where he bought me a silver star balloon that I picked out. That was May of 1990. I still have that balloon somewhere! We got married a few months after graduating college, and celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary on January 31st.

I met my husband on a blind date in 1984...crazy. I would have backed out if there had been a phone booth in the little town that i was meeting him at. There was no 1st kiss on that date because I had a horrible summer cold, complete with a box of kleenix in my purse :) His sister and sis-in-law convinced him I deserved a follow-up phone call... and the rest is history!

My love story is a little different. 2 years ago on February 13th I had to say goodbye to my love/ best friend of 4 years. He died in his vehicle during the winter snow storm that year. I had Valentine’s Day planned out for the two of us, but was not able to spend it with him so I gave it to my parents to use instead. Throughout the year, I had friends trying to get me to go out and start the dating life again, I went on a few dates but nothing came of them, I wasn’t interested. I went back to college to finish up my last year, and one night after I was done taking my Biology exit exam, my friend who also had to take it wanted to go out and have a few drinks to celebrate that we finished the exam. I agreed to the drinks, and as we were heading to her car, she was telling me that there was this guy, James, who was in a couple of our classes was interested in me. I wasn’t too sure about it, yes I knew of him, a veteran marine who was going to get his wildlife degree, but wasn’t sure that I was ready to move on. Yet, here we were on our way to his place to ask if he would like to go have drinks with us. We managed to entice him enough to go out to Applebee’s with us for their happy hour, yet as we got there it was trivia night. It turned out to be a great evening with him asking for my number that the end. Every week after that night we found ourselves going out to Applebee’s trivia night for the remaining of the semester. He would also ask me over a couple of times to have dinner with him. Over our Christmas break, he asked me if I was doing anything for New Year’s Eve, and I wasn’t so we ended up meeting each other and enjoying each other’s company that weekend. We continued dating through the beginning of the year, and as I was back home remembering the one year anniversary; he asked if I would like to be his valentine for Valentine’s Day. I agreed and I not only got one, but two, Valentine’s days that year, both equally special in their own way. I graduated and moved back to Omaha, and he is still there to finish his degree. We have managed to continue our relationship, and now this Valentine’s Day he has found a way to make it up to Omaha this year. I would love to be able to make this year’s Valentine’s Day about him. He has done so much for me, showing me that I can love again, and always being there for me through the thick and thin. I would love to be able to show him how much I appreciate him and how much I love him this year. Thanks for letting me share my love story.

Steve called my roommate for a ride but she wasn't home so I offered to drive him home from the BMW dealership where his old car was in the shop. I didn't care too much for him but took the time out of my workout to go get him. He said he didn't mind my workout clothes and we joked about that. Just a few months later he sold that old BMW to pay for our wedding reception!

We were introduced by his mother. He lived out of town but drove in for our first date. We went to dinner, out for a drink, saw a movie, and went to a planetarium to see Mars when it was closest than it will ever be to Earth. We spent the rest of the night/early morning talking until we realized it was 4am! We never ran out of things to talk about and had the most amazing time. We consider our first date and love story "out of this world". :)

My husband and I met working at the old Service Merchandise on Center in 1993. I knew the first time I saw him that I wanted him. He, on the other hand took longer to think the same about me. We were friends for 12 years before he finally realized I was the one. He moved to KC to be with me. When he gave his notice at his apartment, he said "I have to go see about a girl". Just like Matt Damon said in Good Will hunting. We will celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary this year and we have 2 amazing daughters that are 7 & 5. Thank goodness I had the patience to wait 12 years!!!!

Just when I gave up on any hope of finding love and truly hated Valentine's Day for years. My daughter signed me up on Match.com. Well I met my love 2 years ago this Feb 16th and even though it's still long distance (he lives out east)I know in my heart he is my true love!! We visit each other every second to third week. My family and kids adore him...I couldn't be any luckier than to find someone with a big heart, handsome and full of andventure. I met my husband while working at Broncos. He came in and ordered and evidently winked at me. Later he had a mutual friend introduce us. He remarked that he thought I must not have liked him as he had come in a few weeks back and winked at me and I didn't do anything. I asked him "what did you expect me to do, jump the counter". On our 40th anniversary he tried to buy the old Broncos sign for us but was unable to. So instead, he had a good friend who is a great artist draw a 3 foot picture of the old Broncos sign for me.

The love of my life proposed to me on Valentines Day. We finished dinner and dessert and he still hadn't proposed( I was thinking it was coming because he wasn't himself) so he suggested we move to the bar area for an after dinner drink( cup of courage?) The proposal finally came ( no ring, we were poor students), I said yes and it's been almost 30 years and 3 kids and a great life. 10 years later he took me back to the same restaurant in Iowa city and surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was worth the wait!

It took my husband and I quite some time to find each other! We were reluctantly set up by my mom and his mom's cousin, who worked together at the same school. I opened up my Facebook account for him to find me for 3 days. I didn't realize it at the time, but he is a pilot and my picture was of me sitting in a propeller of an old airplane! We met a few days later, and it was love from the start! We have been married for almost 9 months and are now expecting our first child! We couldn't be happier!!!

I went to the movie alone and so had Ron. He recognized me from where I worked at and also because the car I drove..a 1965 Malibu SS which was originally from his hometown a few miles away. He had planned on stopping me on the way out, but a friend saw him and delayed him. After the movie I was driving around trying to find my friend Cory(a girl)and next thing I knew he had found me and stopped to say he had seen me and wanted to know if I wanted to go out for a drink. He was cute and had a NICE car, but I didn't know him and said no thank you. It took 3 months for me to catch up with him again and we have been together ever since. He sold his car and I still have the car that connected us together.

My husband and I met when we were out with friends one night and his friend told him I was the girl he was going to marry! We realized we went to the same high school and middle school but had never actually known each other. We had been dating for 2 years and went out for a romantic dinner on Valentines day. He was planning to ask me to marry him but that got interrupted with a loud drunk lady at the restaurant. After a snow storm made a tough drive home he cracked into some champagne and proposed! I said yes and we've been married for 22 years now. :)

My husband and I are a "love story" to prove everyone wrong -- you CAN meet a great person at a bar. We met at a bar when my (not sober) husband, who was a stranger at the time, came up behind me and put me on his shoulders. I was literally swept off my feet. Years later, we are still happily married and laughing everyday.

They met on Valentine's Day. She was walking on the sidewalk with a friend, he was cruising the strip with his. Huddles from each camp, and they chose who to pair up with. Last July 4th, they celbrated their 50th Anniversary. No, I'm not making this up. My parents have had some big roadblocks in life and currently they're struggling, but their love and marriage has survived all of it. They're pretty cool and this would be for them.

I met my husband the week after I graduated from high school. It was love at first sight for me. He came to the swimming pool I was a life guard at. We talked, and went out the next day to a different swimming pool and lunch at McDonalds. The next day we went shopping and at dinner together. The next day he flew back to Hawaii to go back to work. We sent letters and had phone calls for the next 3 months. He came to visit me at the University of Nebraska on a broken leg. Then more letters and phone calls and another 3 months. He came to Lincoln again and proposed, I said yes immediately. We have now been together for 36 years. We have three grown children, one who has special needs. We have two grandchildren, one boy and one girl. Don has been sick for the past 3 months and I would like so much to give him something special for Valentines Day this year. Thanks.

My husband and I did not like each other when we met, but it was ok because we were both dating other people. Both of us had bad breakups and one night a mutual friend asked us both to go to a movie with her. During the movie, Outbreak, we started holding hands and we have been together ever since. We definitely went the friends-first route which has made our relationship rock-solid and so fun! Phil and I met at work 13 years ago at work through a co-worker (he and my co-worker worked together as teenagers) and we talked in the cafeteria for 6 years as friends. After running into each other during a night out with friends, we saw a movie. Neither of us thought of it as a "date". Then, went out with a group for New Year's Eve, danced to Elvis as the countdown to begin a new year new year...it also lit a spark and began our life together. We married on Cinco de Mayo and have 2 beautiful kiddos. We still see movies, dance to Elvis and celebrate all the sparks!

I was just 14 when I met Robert. He was working at a Burger King, on his break he was drinking a soda and looking out the window, but I was just sure he was looking at me. We continued about our errands and I was convinced when he pasted me in his car two times that day that he was following me. Each week I'd walk into BK and after some time we talked, and had a date a year later. Then off he went into the military, still not knowing how young I was. We kept in contact for years, but dated other people. He happened to be back in the state lears later, called me and showed up at my dorm for a very memorable date when he toldm me not to get married before he came home in a year. A year passed and at Easter he arrived home for our date, three months later we were engaged and 7 yrs to the anniversary of our first date we were married! More then 2 decades later, I still am in love with the Burger King Fry Guy.

It was actually 8 years ago this February that my husband spotted me at a Valentines dance at our church. We had a couple mutual friends that secretly filled me in a few days later. We dated for about 6 weeks and knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and got engaged and then married 4 months later in August. We have two wonderful children and have also survived an entire year apart while he deployed to Afghanistan. I feel blessed everyday to call him mine and look forward to the future and what it has in store for us.

We met nearly 10 years ago. I had started a new job at a store he helped take care of. Apparently he liked my plaid pants and had to meet me. He would often stop by to say hi or made up some excuse to come to the store and he invited me out a few times. I thought nothing much of him and tried to avoid him after our 1st dinner date. We finally had a 2nd dinner date, but only because I had nothing for dinner that night. Thank goodness I saw the awesomeness that is my husband that night on that 2nd dinner. We became inseparable since then. The great guy even got me to move over 600 miles to live here in Nebraska where he is from. Loving living with my great husband and our 2 funny sons in Nebraska. <3

I was in an abusive marriage with 4 kids when I met my husband at work. We started out as friends and as I was making plans to leave my abusive husband, something wonderful happened he became my knight in shining armor. I realized I was in love with this wonderful guy. I divorced my abusive husband and got married to my husband the same year. My boyfriend and I met through match.com last year in January. We had our first "meeting" a week after the initial "wink" and then had a date the following night. We have been inseparable since. My husband and I met at work and I was the "mean" Wendy as there were two of us. We didnt really get along at first. Then something happened and I asked him to over and watch a movie. We dated for a few months, and he asked me to marry him. It was a secret from our company, as he was trying to move up the ladder and some people wouldnt have been too happy, but eventually we announced our engagement during an employee meeting and handed out invites. We were married six months after our first "date" and it is 10 years since that first date on 2/18!! Happy 10th honey! I love that man of mine!

My husband and I met at a wedding between his best friend and my good college friend. I had taken leave from my tour in Iraq in order to surprise her at her wedding. I still had to go back to Iraq for 5 months and was not interested in a relationship at all. We did not see each other again for about 2 years. We ran into each other at a bar with the same friends and hit it off almost immediately. This was 1 week after he accepted a job in Wichita. Despite the long distance we dated for 10 months and then were engaged. We did not even know what State we were going to live in yet. We were married in 2008 shortly after he accepted a job in Omaha. We now live in Gretna with our 2 children.

I went to high school with my husband. We were in free period study hall together. We played the shooting game "horse" on a daily basis in the gym. We started to really enjoy each others company and started to flirt with one another! He finally asked me out on an official date and I was thrilled! It's been 37 years since we played that first game! We have been happily married for almost 32 years and have two wonderful boys.
